Tattoo Contests

Conditions of Entry:

In 2011 Judging of all contests will take place on the Tattoo Contest Stage on Saturday 12th March  (with the exception of the Friday and Sunday Tattoo of the Day Contests).

• Any individual may enter up to six (6) categories that they have appropriate tattoos for, however any single tattoo may only be entered in no more than three (3)categories.



• Tattoo of the Day MUST have been completed at the Expo on the day of the Contest.



• Best Male Tattoo done at the Expo and Best Female Tattoo done at the Expo MUST have been completed on one or more of the days at the Expo.



• There is a one-off $10.00 registration fee per person irrespective of how many categories they enter.



• Upon registering, each contestant will be given an entry card with an entry number. ALL contestants must have the entry card with them in order to be judged and must display the card for official photographing.



• A panel of 3 tattoo industry judges will review all tattoo contestants in each category and assign a score based on a pre-determined point system.  1st and 2nd place winners in each category will be determined by the highest scores in that category.



• The Judges decisions are final.



• Registered contestants are responsible for going to the Contest Stage ON TIME for judging of their category.



• There will be no refund of registration fees for contestants who do not arrive at the Contest Stage or who get there too late to be seen by the judges.



• All contestants agree as a condition of entry that they will parade on stage during the Judging and Trophy Awards Ceremony to display their tattoo(s).



• 1st and 2nd Place Winners in each Category will be announced on the Contest Stage at the end of each judging session and the winning artists will each receive a specially designed Sydney Tattoo Expo Trophy. The winning entrants in each category will receive a specially designed Sydney Tattoo Expo Engraved Plaque.



• The Male Tattoo of the Day Contest and the Female Tattoo of the Day Contest will be judged at 8.00 pm on Friday and Saturday and at 6.00 pm on Sunday.



• Entries will be accepted up to one hour before the Tattoo of the Day contests begin.



• To be eligible for entry to the Tattoo of the Day Contest all entries must be completed that day at the Expo by an artist registered at the Expo. 



• 1st and 2nd Place Winners in each Tattoo of the Day Contest will be announced at the end of each judging session and the winning artists will each receive a specially designed Sydney Tattoo Expo Trophy. The winning entrants in each category will receive a specially designed Sydney Tattoo Expo Engraved Plaque.



• The Winning artist  for The Best Male Tattoo done at the Expo and the Best Female Tattoo done at the Expo will each receive a specially designed Sydney Tattoo Expo Trophy.



• The winning entrant for Best Male Tattoo and Best Female Tattoo done at the Expo will receive a specially designed Sydney Tattoo Expo Engraved Plaque.



• A Best Male Artist in Show Trophy and a Best Female Artist in Show Trophy will also be awarded for the two artists with the most points won from all contests at the Expo.



• No complete disrobing will be allowed even for photos.
  
  This is a family oriented show and this rule is non negotiable.


• Participate and have fun, show off your body art, win respect and a great trophy for your artist and plaque for yourself.
